This Fall, Addicus Books will release a third edition of Colon and Rectal Cancer—from Diagnosis to Treatment. In addition to covering how the disease develops and how it is diagnosed, the book covers the latest on treatment, including surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. The authors are Paul Ruggieri, M.D., surgeon in private practice in southeastern Massachusetts, and Arti A. Lakhani, M.D.; she is board certified in the fields of internal medicine, hematology, and oncology, and currently works in the Chicago area.
Coming this Fall: Coronary Heart Disease—Third Edition
A new edition of Coronary Heart Disease—from Diagnosis to Treatment will be released late this Fall. The new title discusses how heart disease develops, risk factors, and symptoms. It also covers treatment, ranging from medication and life style changes to stent placement and by-pass surgery. The author, cardiologist Barry Cohen, M.D., is medical director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Gagnon Heart Hospital of Morristown, New Jersey.
New Edition of Prostate Cancer Is Off the Press
The third edition of Prostate Cancer—from Diagnosis to Treatment is now available.
The book discusses how prostate cancer is diagnosed along with the forms of treatment available—surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. The author is San Antonio urologist, Arthur Centeno, M.D.
New Edition of Colon Cancer Book Is Coming
The third edition of Colon Cancer—from Diagnosis to Treatment will roll of the presses this Fall. The authors are surgeon, Paul Ruggieri, M.D. and Medical Oncologist Arti Lakhani.
Dr. Ruggieri is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. He is in private practice in southeast Massachusetts. Dr. Lakhani is board certified in the fields of internal medicine, hematology, and oncology, and currently works in the Chicagoland area.
New Edition in Development
This fall Addicus Books will publish the sixth edition of Straight Talk about Breast Cancer. The lead authors are Suzanne Braddock, M.D. Dr. Braddock, a twenty-five year breast cancer survivor, and Margaret Block, M.D., a medical oncologist in Omaha.
Medical Oncologist Is Co-Author of Colon Cancer Book
Chicago-area Medical Oncologist Arti Lakhani, M.D., has signed as co-author for the forthcoming third edition of Colon and Rectal Cancer—from Diagnosis to Treatment. Dr. Lakhani specializes in oncology and hematology. She will co-author the book with Paul Ruggieri, M.D., a surgeon in southeastern Massachusetts. Radiation oncologist Carol Kornmehl, M.D., of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is a contributor to the section on radiation treatment. This book is a Fall 2018 release.

Scott, M.D., F.A.C.S., is chief of the Division of Thoracic and Esophageal Surgery at Abington Jefferson Hospital and a member of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia. Board certified in thoracic surgery, Dr. Scott specializes in the treatment of cancers involving the chest, with a special emphasis on the treatment of lung cancer.
