The February 23 issue of Publisher’s Weekly highlights Countdown To Baby—The 100 Most Asked Questions about Pregnancy and Childbirth in its special parenting section, “The Childcare Niche.” The article quotes publisher Rod Colvin, “The author has delivered more than 3,000 babies, and over a 15-year career has kept a collection of the most common questions that women asked in her office.” According to the article, “Warhus focuses on the physical and emotional, but also covers practical matters such as buying maternity clothes and baby-proofing the house.”
Titles Back to Press
Three Addicus titles have gone back to press for third and fourth printings. Those titles include Living with PCOS, The Marital Compatibility Test, and Exercising Through Your Pregnancy.
LASIK—A Guide to Laser Vision Correction is heading back to press for a third printing. The book, named one of the “Small Press Books of the Year” by Library Journal, is authored by Ernest Kornmehl, M.D., Robert Maloney, M.D., and Jonathan Davidorf, M.D.
Addicus Publisher Elected to Board of Independent Book Publishers Association
Addicus Books Publisher Rod Colvin was elected to the board of directors of Independent Book Publishers Association during its annual conference in Chicago in early June. The organization is comprised of 3,900 independent publishers from across the country. Colvin will serve a two-year term on the board.
