Janet Zappala is an award-winning television news journalist, winning five Emmy awards and garnering nine Emmy nominations for her work at TV stations in cities across the country, including Honolulu, San Diego, Los Angeles, Denver and Philadelphia. She is also the recipient of a Golden Mike award for her profile on Mel Blanc, “The Man of a Thousand Voices,” and received a first place Associated Press award for feature reporting.
Named one of the “Best in the Business” by the Washington Journalism Review, Zappala has anchored television newscasts in Denver, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. She served as host of All About You, a consumer/health program on the Comcast Network. She also co-hosted a syndicated news and entertainment magazine show for Fox Television. She has interviewed hundreds of newsmakers, ranging from U.S. Presidents to celebrities. She holds a master of arts degree in liberal studies from Villanova University, and an undergraduate degree in journalism. She is also a certified nutritional consultant.
