Jim Mueller, Esq. is the managing partner of Verner Brumley Mueller Parker P.C. in Dallas, Texas. He obtained his juris doctorate with honors from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rhodes College. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, board-certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists. He is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, in both legal ability and ethical standards. He is also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America by Woodward White and was included as a Texas Super Lawyer, published by Thomson Reuters in Texas Monthly Magazine. Mueller is also a founding benefactor for the Vansickle Family Law Clinic at the SMU Dedman School of Law.
Jim is a frequent lecturer and author for local, statewide, and national programs on a variety of topics related to the practice of family law. The National Academy of Family Law Attorneys recognized Jim as one of the top 10 family law attorneys in Texas under 40, and he was chosen for membership in the National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40. He was also named to the list of Top 100 Lawyers in Texas by The National Advocates and 10 Best Under 40 by The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
