Michael D. Stutman a founding partner of SSL, LLP. He boasts a prestigious career as a New York matrimonial litigator. Michael is well known for handling matters for affluent individuals with pragmatism and discretion. Michael is a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and belongs to the City Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He served on the Committee on Matrimonial Law of the City Bar Association from 1996 to 1999 and again from 2005 to 2008. He served on the City Bar Association Committee on Trusts, Estates, and Surrogates Courts from 2008 to 2011 and is currently serving on that committee through 2015.
Michael received a Commitment to Justice Award, 1999-2000, from inMotion Online, formerly the Network for Women’s Services. Most recently he was featured as a speaker at the 2012 New York State Bar Annual Meeting of Trusts and Estates Section on Recent Changes of NY Matrimonial Law and at the 2012 Divorce Conference AICPA/AAML in Las Vegas where he spoke about “Active Passive Valuation Issues” and “Assessing Post Judgment Third Party Clawbacks and the Impact of Valuation.”
He lives on the lower east side of Manhattan with his wife and their two children.
