William Truswell, M.D., is a facial plastic surgeon in private practice in Northampton, Massachusetts. He is medical director of the Aesthetic Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center, which he founded in 1976.
Dr. Truswell received a bachelor of science degree from Hobart College, Geneva, New York. He graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and completed a residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Truswell is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Truswell is a clinical instructor in facial plastic surgery in the Division of Otolaryngology, Department of Surgery, University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
He is also a medical consultant to Atrium Medical Corporation Advanta for ePTFE facial soft tissue implants. He is the designer of the Truswell Insertion Instrument for soft tissue implants, manufactured by Marina Medical Corporation
A writer and lecturer, Dr. Truswell writes articles on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in medical specialty journals, consults with other professionals for books for facial plastic surgery, and lectures at facial plastic surgery meetings throughout the country.
