Scott Isaacs, M.D., attended medical school Emory School of Medicine and continued on at Emory for his residency and fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. Dr. Isaacs is now Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Emory University as well as Medical Director at Intelligent Health Center. He has done research on obesity, stress and diabetes and has published several articles, including a recent paper in the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism. He gives many lectures on the subject of “Hormones and Obesity,” speaking to groups in the community as well as at major events and conferences throughout the United States. He also trains other doctors in the field.
Dr. Isaacs has been quoted in many national publications including Fitness Magazine, Women’s World, First Health, The Chicago Tribune, Atlanta Magazine and others, and has given expert commentary on several television news programs. He is the author of the best selling books, Overcoming Metabolic Syndrome (Addicus Books, 2006), Hormonal Balance: Understanding Hormones, Weight and Your Metabolism (Bull Publishing Company 2012) and A Simple Guide to Thyroid Disorders (Addicus Books, 2004). Dr. Isaacs is a Diplomat of the American Board of Bariatric Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology.
