William Lydiatt, M.D., is a board-certified otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon. He practices head and neck surgical oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Nebraska Methodist Hospital, and Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He also teaches and performs research at the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. His research interests include the prevention of cancer and improving the quality of life for head and neck cancer patients.
Dr. Lydiatt received his undergraduate degree in biology from Stanford University, then his medical degree and residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery from the University of Nebraska. He also completed a two-year fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Dr. Lydiatt is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and American Head and Neck Society. He serves on the American Joint Commission on Cancer Staging Subcommittee for head and neck cancer staging; he is a reviewer for six specialty journals. Dr. Lydiatt has authored thirty scientific publications and given dozens of local, national, and international presentations on head and neck cancer.
