Balshi, D.D.S., F.A.C.P., is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists, and the Founder of Prosthodontics Intermedica, a resource for clinical patient care, research, and both professional and patient dental education. A graduate of Temple University and one of the United States pioneers in osseointegrated dental implants, Dr. Balshi trained with Professor Per Ingvar Branemark of the Institute for Applied Biotechnology, Sweden and with Dr. George Zarb at the University of Toronto.
A member and past-president of numerous distinguished professional organizations, Balshi was recently named to the National Academies of Practice. Recognized by the United States Congressional Record for his scientific achievements and altruistic contributions to national healthcare, Balshi has been widely published in professional journals and has lectured internationally in such prestigious forums as The Royal College of Surgeons, The International College of Prosthodontists, and the Tissue Integration Conference in Brussels that led to the concept of Teeth In A Day.
Balshi and his staff offer hands on training courses for dental professionals and have produced a series of videos for patients contemplating implant treatment. The Prosthodontics Intermedica Foundation, established in 1999, offers aid to patients with severe circumstances and no financial resources.
