Andrew Jacono, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a dual board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Manhattan, specializing in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. His extensive background in head and neck surgery and subspecialty training in facial plastic surgery give him a unique knowledge of the face and its underlying structures. Dr. Jacono is director of the New York Center for Facial Plastic & Laser Surgery and J SPA Medical Day Spa in Great Neck, New York. He is assistant clinical professor in the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is section head of Facial Plastic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital and fellowship director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Facing Trauma shares the stories of women who have been left disfigured from violent circumstances and follows Dr. Jacono and his team as they work to heal both the internal and external scars of victims. He also volunteers for Healing the Children, which helps children throughout the world receive surgeries such as cleft lip and palate reconstruction, which would otherwise be unavailable to them due to a lack of medical and financial resources.
Dr. Jacono is a Castle Connolly top doctor and has been elected as one of America’s top plastic surgeons by the Consumers Research Council of America and Super Doctors. He has been featured as one of New York City’s leading plastic surgeons in The New York Times. His efforts were recognized by U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy and the Center for the Women of New York for his contributions to women’s welfare.
Dr. Jacono has lectured about cutting-edge facial plastic surgery techniques at conferences around the world. He has also published extensively in medical literature, including the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery. His highly acclaimed first book was entitled Face the Facts: The Truth About Facial Plastic Surgery Procedures That Do and Don’t Work.
