| German Publisher Buys Rights for Addicus Books Title |

German publisher Deutscher Taschenbuck Verlag has purchased rights to publish a German-language version of The Family Compatibility Test, by Susan Adams (Addicus Books 1997). The German version is expected to be out within the next eighteen months. The sale was arranged by foreign rights agent Dieter Hagenbach of Basel, Switzerland. |

ModelOffice, Inc., Austin, Texas, is reporting brisk sales for its new software, "Fundamentals of Small Business," launched in October. Each unit of the software includes a copy of The Street-Smart Entrepreneur, by Chicago author Jay Goltz (Addicus Books 1998). The new software features more than 2,001 spreadsheets, tools, documents, and guidelines for growig a small business. The software package is available at such stores as Best Buy, Office Max, Office Depot, and Staples.

| St. Martin’s to Launch Eye of the Beast in Early ’99 |

St. Martin’s Press, NYC, has set a February 1999 publication date the mass market version of Eye of the Beast. Addicus Books published the trade paperback in 1997. The story outlines an Idaho case involving convicted murderer James Wood, whom the authors call one of the nation’s most unusual serial killers. |

A tentative air date is set for Saturday, December 5, 1998, for the A & E "City Confidential" segment which features the Salem, MA murder case detailed by Margaret Press in her true crime work, Counterpoint—A Murder in Massachusetts Bay (Addicus Books, 1996). Ms. Press acted as a story consultant with the show’s producers. |
