Author David Cram, MD, Dies in California

David Cram, M.D., lead author of Understanding Parkinson’s Disease, died August 21 in San Francisco. Dr. Cram was 75, and had lived with Parkinson’s disease for twenty-one years. Addicus Books first published his book in 1999 and released a second edition in 2009. Addicus publisher Rod Colvin said, "I really enjoyed working with David Cram over the years. I was always inspired by his determination to help others with Parkinson’s disease in spite of the personal health challenges he faced. He was an outstanding man and an excellent physician."




New Book on Infertility Heading to Press
Later this summer, Addicus Books will release Overcoming Infertility—A Guide to Getting Pregnant by Gerard M. Honoré, M.D., and Jay Nemiro, M.D. Both physicians are reproductive endocrinologists who have helped thousands of couples become parents. Dr. Honoré is director of Perinatal & Fertility Specialists of San Antonio, Texas; Dr. Nemiro is director of Arizona Center for Fertility Studies, in Scottsdale, Arizona.



Sapp Brothers’ Story Tell Life Story
Later this summer, Addicus Books will publish The Sapp Brother’s Story, a memoir of Lee and Bill Sapp, two of the most-respected businessmen in the Midwest. As youths, the Sapp Brothers worked as farmers during the Great Depression. However, they soon moved on, becoming involved in several successful enterprises, including ownership of car and truck dealerships, leasing companies, and banks. They also built a chain of sixteen truck stops, Sapp Brothers’ Travel Centers, located along interstate highways from Utah to Pennsylvania. They also own and operate Sapp Brothers Petroleum. The book’s Foreword is by Tom Osborne, the former head coach of the Nebraska football team and a former member of Congress. He is currently an athletic director at the University of Nebraska.



New Edition of Stroke Recovery Book Coming this Fall
This Fall, Addicus Books will release the second edition of The Stroke Recovery Book by Kip Burkman, MD. Dr. Burkman is the medical director of the Immanuel Rehabilitation Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The best-selling first edition of the book was released in 1998.
