Linda Sebastian has been a psychiatric nurse for twenty-five years. As an advanced
registered nurse practitioner, she provides outpatient therapy and medication
management. Ms. Sebastian served as the Director of the Women's Program at the
Menninger Foundation, Topeka, Kansas, from 1994 to 1998. The program was recognized
nationally for its treatment of depression in women. As part of the program,
Ms. Sebastian developed the perinatal psychiatric disorders program and has
been active in educating professionals about postpartum depression and anxiety.
Ms. Sebastian received a master's degree in psychiatric nursing
from Kansas University in 1982. She graduated from the Wesley School of Nursing
in Wichita, Kansas, in 1972, and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from
Kansas University in 1976. Ms. Sebastian has received national certification
from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the National Association of
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists.
Ms. Sebastian is the author of numerous professional
journal articles, and is active in professional organizations; she has been
a featured speaker in the United States and China. Ms. Sebastian makes her home
in Bonita Springs, FL.
